چکیده

In order to identify the knowledge required for human-computer collaboration, it is first necessary to have a clear understanding of what it means to be collaborative. Based on the formal definition of collaboration presented in this paper, there are three necessary and sufficient knowledge sources for a collaborative computer system: a model of the task domain, a partial model of the user’s goals, and a rudimentary model of the user’s knowledge. Other abilities often associated with intelligent agents, such as plan recognition and traditional AI user modeling, are still highly desirable but are not strictly required for collaboration.

Intertwining knowledge delivery and elicitation: a process model for human-computer collaboration in design

Collaboration among designers can be described with an "action-reflection-critique" model in which the explicit representation of the design contributes to a shared understanding and to the articulation of design knowledge. We describe how domain-oriented design environments based on this model support human-computer collaboration by intertwining knowledge delivery and elicitation. The KID (Kno...

A Q-learning Based Continuous Tuning of Fuzzy Wall Tracking

A simple easy to implement algorithm is proposed to address wall tracking task of an autonomous robot. The robot should navigate in unknown environments, find the nearest wall, and track it solely based on locally sensed data. The proposed method benefits from coupling fuzzy logic and Q-learning to meet requirements of autonomous navigations. Fuzzy if-then rules provide a reliable decision maki...

Drug Discovery Acceleration Using Digital Microfluidic Biochip Architecture and Computer-aided-design Flow

A Digital Microfluidic Biochip (DMFB) offers a promising platform for medical diagnostics, DNA sequencing, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), and drug discovery and development. Conventional Drug discovery procedures require timely and costly manned experiments with a high degree of human errors with no guarantee of success. On the other hand, DMFB can be a great solution for miniaturization, int...
